On arriving at GLASGOW follow the M8 through  Glasgow do not take the cutoff for the A82 in Glasgow (J17) but continue through to the ERSKINE BRIDGE (J30),crossing the CLYDE on the M898 for LOCH LOMOND on to the A82 (NORTH).  Follow this road until you arrive at TARBET, where you join the A83 for INVERARAY & CAMPBELTOWN continue through ARROCHAR for 9 miles to the top of the REST & BE THANKFUL,where you will see the left turn sign for the B828 to LOCHGOILHEAD & CARRICK CASTLE. We are at the end of this single track road opposite the castle.
